Foundations of Liberty (FOL) was established in January of 2002 by those committed to educating Americans about the successful formula of government that is embodied in our United States Constitution. This formula propelled the United States from an upstart rebellion against a global power to become the world’s premier superpower.
The founders of our nation were not only passionate about liberty for all people, but had the wisdom to understand how governments slowly eroded freedoms in the name of equality or assisting the less fortunate. Having witnessed this gradual erosion until government became the master and the people its slave, the founders created a Constitution built with restrictions on government and freedom for the people.
Sadly, many today have lost their vision of a free republic–in fact almost all politicians and the media mistakenly refer to our form of government as a democracy–and many more have systematically set out to dismantle the foundations of liberty embodied in our unique form of government and pursue proven failure formulas.
Today’s technological advancements have not only dramatically altered the capability of reaching wider audiences, but also created an expectation of short bursts of information instead of long dialogs or formal teaching situations. In light of these dramatic changes in learning, FOL has recently transitioned from primarily using seminars to educate, to providing founder quotes, and short messages designed to teach and motivate those seeking a better America.
Feel free to browse and share from our resources of quotes, memes, videos, and blogged articles. The material here is designed to not only educate but engage more Americans in preserving the foundations of liberty that makes America unique in the world.
FOL appreciates other organizations and websites that provide information and insight into the principles of freedom, the history and language of the US Constitution, and provide other helps in understanding and restoring our freedoms.
